Tears

I've seen those tears before 

I've heard those cries

Those very same tears had fallen from my eyes  

I know that feeling 

The sound of a heart breaking 

I wish that pain I had already taken 

I hate to see that same pain reoccurring 

in a life with hope and much promising 

My life was a wreck and I hated myself 

And I would never wish that upon anyone else 

What I would do to take that pain, 

And send it back to where it came 

From hell itself, the devil I despise

He comes to destroy, and fill you with lies  

Don't let him get to you my dear 

Get your word and stand right here 

And declare that you have no fear

Because the Lord holds your every tear
